Dr Glenn Crocker

CEO BioCity Nottingham Ltd

Glenn Crocker is Chief Executive of BioCity Nottingham, one of Europe’s largest biotechnology incubators. The company helps create and develop biotech and pharmaceutical businesses and provides them with laboratory space in an overall supportive business environment.

Glenn has a first degree in Genetics from Nottingham University and a D Phil in Immunology from Oxford University. After a few years in post doctoral research, he joined Ernst & Young where he qualified as a chartered accountant. His work with E&Y focused on advising the biotechnology industry, spending several years in Palo Alto, California, and returning to Cambridge to head the UK biotechnology practice for the firm, focusing on business development and corporate finance transactions. He was also editor and co-author of Ernst & Young’s annual US, European and Global Biotechnology Reports.

In 2003 he joined BioCity Nottingham Ltd as Chief Executive and has grown the business substantially since then, making it one of the leading bioincubation businesses in the Europe.

He is also co-founder and director of R5 Pharmaceuticals ltd, a contract pharmaceutical formulation and manufacturing business, and is a director of Medilink East Midlands and Board adviser to Precos and Corinthian Surgical Ltd.
